ACADEMIC CRITERIA: The Maryland High School Diploma is awarded upon completion of 21 credits with the following coursework requirements:
4 credits -English Language Arts (English 9, 10, 11, 12) 3 credits -Social Studies (American Government, US History, Modern World History) 3 credits -*Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II), 3 credits - Science (includes Biology and two lab-based courses) 1/2 credit - Physical Education 1/2 credit - Health 1 credits - Fine Arts 1 credits - Technology Education 1-3 credits - Electives
2 credits - World Language OR 2 credits - Advanced Technology OR 4 credits - Career and Technology Completer Program
Additionally, students must: -Pass all Maryland High School Assessments/PARCC Assessments For more information on PARCC: http://www.hcpss.org/academics/testing/parcc/ -Satisfy Career Preparation requirements, World of Work (WOW) -Satisfy the Student Service Learning requirement (75+ hours)
